As of November 1st, Grace Notes Books is launching our first book-length competitions for novels & memoirs OR collected short stories/essays and novellas! Offering $1000 grand prize, publication, royalties, judge's feedback on all entries, and more!

Big News!! The first issue of Notes and Grace Notes: The Lit Mag is coming soon to a bookstore near you. We are now accepting submissions for our next issue. All you have to do is continue posting as you already have been, and as long as they fall within the guidelines, they will be considered for both the monthly contests as well as the lit mag. More news to come as it develops.

More News!! Announcing a very exciting new contest in association with Fried Fiction, an online journal of serialized stories. Post the first part of the serial, any genre, 1000 words or less, and the winner (or winners) will be published on their website! Please see the Special Contests section for more details. And please make sure your posts are categorized correctly. The instructions are on the right side of the box in which you submit and edit entries. If your posts are not categorized, it makes it very difficult for judges and administrators to find your work, which makes it very difficult for you to win money or get published. Thank you.
