alone in a tuck of sheets . . .
where earlier she folded in his embrace
Sunlight teases a summons rise
Cajoling rival shadow to retreat
In winks through shuttered blinds askew

capricious and incorrigible
I trust you no more.
No longer will I be moved by your zephyr teases
coaxing me from winter's long ennui.
Too often I have gone without my coat eager ....
only to find you've bristled rude and cold ... in gales of masterful

It clings to the budding limbs of trees
and busses your unsuspecting daffodils.
