for pennies. Those shares today would have been worth billions.

They say he has no regrets; Pahrump is a nice place to get lost.

Life is simple there.

This is definitely artistic. I'm torn between wanting to laugh and wanting to curse silently over the loss of so much scrill. The only suggestion I might have would be to see how it feels to make it longer--into similar stanzas, still from the point of view of "they" in order to expand that meaning...If not, it's simple and nice already.

I like the crispness of your prose. My first suggestion would be to eliminate the centered formatting -- and then let the text tease the eye downward.
