Shall I run?
Break down the door?
Give in?
Take the bull by the horns?
Stand strong?
Leave without looking back?
Be the only one who keeps promises?
Fade into oblivion?
Make a new start?
Look for the easy way out?

I have found that riding the "bull" thru the "door" often creates an atmosphere of minimal distraction...and is way less energy intensive.
Question Clichés
I understand the questions, and perhaps the emotions that ultimately drive them. Yet, I find myself, in this instance, only questioning each question; e.g. what is the root causes driving the questions and the poem? It’s not that I see the poem as being without direction; yet, with this poem, I would like to see a second voice to counterbalance and expand on the emotions which creates these questions.
I apologize if I’m jumping in late on this poem; I just haven’t had time to participate on this site since joining. Nice poem
Enjoyed the voice of the poem. I would have loved to hear what the consequences of these decisions were or would have been. Was is the feeling behind each option? Great way to relate to the reader though because we've all at one time or another had to deal with decisions big and small that could go in one direction or another. :)
No Apology Necessary
MrParker -- Sorry this took so long for me to get a note back to you. No apology necessary. Life and all that that entales sometimes keeps me away more than I would like, but I am really here.
I like your insight and thoughts on this poem... I found them interesting. I do not write a lot of poems... a do have a couple... some I know when they will impact a reader, but.... Hence I welcome your comments. Thanks for taking the time to read this and comment. Write commentYou must be logged in to post a comment. Please register if you do not have an account yet.
